American Prayer

I'm not a religious person. But as I watch people all over this country beginning to vote - I'm reminded that it is perhaps the most sacred action one can take in this democracy. What makes it sacred to me is the blood, sweat and tears that were shed by our grandmothers and grandfathers on its behalf.

And so perhaps that's why this song has been on my mind for the last few days. We are in the midst of a national American Prayer.
