There are plenty of voters who are not Christian or evangelicans, like me, who are suspicious of that "faith". The fact that their leader is "God" and the faithful are bound by what he tells them to do is really scary. Mitt is not just any Mormon, he is a high church official.

When added to the right wing talking points re: war with Iran, national security, economic policies, I cannot see Mitt defeating PBO on any level.

The VP selection will just be another thorn in his side no matter who he picks.
Smilingl8dyAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7163441833245663827.post-88579409874217490302012-01-12T08:02:57.907-06:002012-01-12T08:02:57.907-06:00This seems to be a core GOP problem for 2012, Smar...This seems to be a core GOP problem for 2012, Smartypants:

"The crux of the argument is that in both cases the establishment beat the base."

Intrade bettors today have Romney as an 86.5% favorite to win the nomination, but the GOP base are not enthusiastic about him. A December Gallup poll found Republicans much less excited about voting in 2012 than they were in 2010. I'm not sure Sen. Rubio would bridge that gap, and Romney may have to choose someone nearer to the Tea Party. That may shore up his base some, but it won't help with moderate independents ... and they decide presidential elections.

Good day and good nuts. The BPI Squirrelhttp://bpicampus.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7163441833245663827.post-75057907598851544332012-01-12T07:55:48.904-06:002012-01-12T07:55:48.904-06:00I think the answer of who will Romney pick as his ...I think the answer of who will Romney pick as his VP can be found by checking polling to see who helps him the most with voters. Romney never takes a position until he knows what will help get him elected.Allanhttp://www.angryblacklady.comnoreply@blogger.com
