I am not much into country music either so I didn't even know who Alan Jackson was but I am glad to hear that there are important people in the south stepping up to work for Pres. Obama's reelection!

I came across this video today while perusing the c-span website:
http://www.booktv.org/Watch/7586/The+Audacity+of+Hope+Thoughts+on+Reclaiming+the+American+Dream.aspx

Politics
The Audacity of Hope: Thoughts on Reclaiming the American Dream

Barack Obama

About the Program

In "The Audacity of Hope" Senator Barack Obama offers his vision for the country. At an event at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum in Boston, the author sat down with Bob Herbert of the New York Times to discuss the war in Iraq, the relationship between religion and politics, and his then-possible 2008 presidential run.

About the Authors

Barack Obama

Barack Obama
Democrat Barack Obama served in the Illinois state senate from 1997 to 2004 and was elected to the US Senate in 2004. He is also the author of "Dreams From My Father: A Story of Race and Inheritance."
*********************************************

In the interview then Senator Obama mentions the 1%, the broken political system, the Republican party moving farther into the ideological right and other points that are still coming up today. It must pain him that so little has changed since 2006.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
