In the case of Libya, we are involved because the UN Security Council voted 11-0 (4 abstentions) that Qadaffi had to be kept from massacring his civilian population. So Libya isn't Obama's Iraq no matter how badly people want it to be. (And guys ... ? That's really a strange thing to want. I thought you might be pleased that we were acting in accord with the UN, rather than against it.)<br /><br />However chaotic things may be in Libya now, at least it's not a nation that is at a tyrant's peace, where all dissent is crushed out of sight via countless atrocities in countless basements.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
