The Hmong proved to be loyal and adept at 'soldiering', but were in many ways abandoned after the war. It is to the credit of many American agencies, churches, and NGOs that many Hmong did make it to these shores. I have met some Hmong in the Twin Cities and am amazed at how they value their lives here. The same can be said for any number of other nationalities to be found in the Twin Cities area.
