It seems that every day I hear some horror story about health insurance rates on the rise because of Obamacare. The interpretation is that insurance companies are raising their rates preemptively because of coming rules and regulations.
Where I work our renewal for health insurance happens in March. We are covered by the top-of-the-line plan offered by our provider and had decided to go for a cheaper plan at renewal in order to keep costs down for both the organization (which pays 85% of the premium) and for employees.
Today we got the renewal information. Our costs are GOING DOWN! Only by about $24/year/employee - but still!!!!!!!!!!
