What would Molly say?

I can't help but imagine what kind of hay Molly Ivins would be making of all this craziness about women and sex that is consuming our political discourse these days. All I know is that she'd be balancing the rage with a heaping dose of giggles about it all. I think we could use a little of that.

Since we can't bring her back, I thought it might be helpful to remind ourselves of her take on these kinds of things. Go ahead and watch - I promise the belly laughs will help.

Wherever you are these days Molly, please know that you are missed!

  1. Dang! I do miss Molly Ivins! Thanks for the laughs.

I was at a meeting today & a woman said to me:

"That Rushbum and the GOP are all dumber than a box of rocks. They really think women have to take a BC pill every time they have sex just like they take that little blue pill to get a stiffie. Sex Ed has totally failed in this country."

  2. OOH Smartypants I haven't laughed so hard in ages. Thank you. I am so glad I moved back to MN from Texas in 2010. I have to take some courage on post this on FB. It's just too precious.

  5. I actually say "I wonder what Miss Molly would say" at least weekly. I remember first reading her columns and then her books. They were the most instructive about the Bushes and Governor "Goodhair". She made me laugh and think at the same time. A rarity these days! Thanks for the rememberance!
