We are a land of many ‘belts’: the Bible Belt, the Rust Belt, the Sun Belt, to name a few.
But watching the near dissolution of our political institutions and our international reputation as a scientific, medical, and cultural leader at the hands of ideologically puritanical and intellectually useless base idiots, the time has come to name another of America’s ‘belts’: the DUMMY BELT.
He goes on to actually identify the Dummy Belt and suggests that next time they talk about succession...let em go.
As a matter of fact, who needs to be crass when a genteel response will do.
Even in the "dummy belt", the next generation is growing up with a much different set of values and attitude. No need to contemplate secession - -we just have to wait.

ReplyDeleteI have family who inhabit the dummy belt and the news on that front with their kids isn't encouraging. But maybe they skew my perceptions.
