This morning David Axelrod said that the final days of this campaign are very emotional. It made me think that the team of Axelrod, Plouffe and Gibbs is coming into the final home stretch of something they've been committed to for a long time - the political career of Barack Obama. While we're still counting on 4 more years of his presidency, their work is almost done.
I believe that this group has changed the way political campaigns will be run in the future. They dared to believe that the status quo wasn't the only way to win and then they worked their asses off to make it happen.
I suspect that after this election is over, we'll get a chance to hear from them about this campaign. In the meantime, here's a little trip down memory lane to hear what they had to say on that fateful night almost 4 years ago.
