  1. There was a good article about this in the Atlantic last year, about how it was the NRA and Republicans who were for gun control back in the sixties. That was because it was the Black Panthers who were demanding the right to carry guns openly in public.

    Now that it is right wing white people demanding gun rights, Republicans have switched sides on the issue.
