Partners

In light of the events of the last few days, I thought it would be a good time to repost this one.

Do ya think these two sorta like each other?

  2. What a pair of Executives. This is the first time I have witnessed such a rock-solid relationship between a president and vice-president. They both had much to overcome, internally, while forging this relationship.

It takes great men to do what they have done:: they have put their personal agendas aside for the good of the country. It seems they have become friends in the process.

    Admirable, the both of them.

    1. I agree Eve. These are two men who's egos are not in the way of progress for their country!

  3. Best team evah! I cannot not think of any President/VP pair in the modern era who like and respect each other and have each other's back as these. There are two other pictures that were featured on The Obama Diary a while back that showed our guys on the same day but in different places dressed similarly (shorts and hats) and doing the same thing (water gun fight; PBO with Sasha at Camp David and Biden with a bunch of kids at Blair House).

  4. I've always suspected one reason PBO tapped Biden for VP is the fact that his girls don't have a living grandfather.

  5. They are an awesome Duo no doubt about it. The media was obnoxious as hell yesterday & last night.Morning Joe isn't any better this AM. Had to turn that shit off and keep my heart rate in good shape :)
Thanks Ms Pants for the last few days on the excellent posts. You really are a gem of a blogger. Happy New Year.

Yes. It is SO good to see. And, in light of some of our discussion yesterday, we are, literally, looking at a "fully formed" man who is black not needing the white guy to "complete" him. And, the white guy is quite alright with it. There is NO doubt in my mind that these two men "got to it" and we have been witnessing and shall continue to witness the paradigm shaking end result. I continue to be convinced. We're witnessing a lonnng deferred beginning. REALLY didn't think I'd see this. And, somethin' else I was MOST pleased to witness...

You poppin' pm upside his wordy, and for whatEVer the reason, currently whiny head :-). Done most tastefully, of course. Yet, to quote the late, great Richard Pryor, you "did not stutter nor stammer". But, a well delivered and needed pop nonetheless.

Thank ya and GOOD on ya.

    1. I'm really glad you saw that over at pm's place. He just did the "lucky" thing one too many times. And his commenters' response..."Oh no! She played the race card! Oh my!" LOL

  7. One of the things that those of us who actually pay attention to things realized was that the President not only like Joe Biden, but he trusts him to "get things done." While the media tends to portray Biden as a likable, but gaffe-prone guy who's "another career politician," they forget that he was also one of the foreign policy experts and an incredibly effective Senator. The President hasn't.

What some (not many, but some) in the media are realizing is that when the President says "I'm putting the Vice President in charge of this," he's not blowing it off with a bit of political theater, it's because he wants it done, done right and quickly.

Wonkette has a bit up today, where they call Biden "Obama's consigliere."

    And, re: your main point...

Amen and amen - as per usual.

Why I'm getting optimistic about this election

It's hard to over-state how much the Des Moines Register's Selzer poll shook things up by showing Harris/Walz leading in Iowa. None ...
