Just to illustrate how far off the mark the haters were: Sebastien was born and raised in San Antonio, he has never been to Mexico, his father served in the Navy, and his mother's name is Stacy. He is about as American as they come.
ReplyDeleteThe outfit was not something that the Spurs "put him in" but that he wears whenever he performs -- just like all the mariachi musicians one can see in San Antonio, some of whom are not Latino.
To add to the irony, a picture in the Laredo paper shows Sebastien posing in front of his family's house, a really nice two-story home with US flag in front.
