Remember the other day when I pointed out the similar histories/make-up of Minnesota and Wisconsin - but how different the politics in each state have been lately?
Well...the jobs numbers for metropolitan areas were recently released. Guess who's #1 with an unemployment rate of 4.7%. Yes, that would be the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area. And perhaps it will come as no surprise who clocks in at #31 with an unemployment rate of 7.3%. You guessed, its the Milwaukee-Waukesha-West Allis, WI Metropolitan Area.
In other words, Gov. Walker and his cronies in the state legislature are blowing it for the people of Wisconsin just like Republicans are trying to do to all of us. Its WAY past time to vote those lunatics out of office!

We're trying! It is unlikely we can take back the state legislature because the GOP gerrymandered the heck out of the state. But in statewide races, we elected Tammy Baldwin to the U.S. Senate and re-elected Presient Obama so we have a chance to take back the governorship with the right candidate. We want to be blue like Minnesota but it might take a 2 or 3 election cycles.
ReplyDeleteWalker appears to be like a lot of other GOPer politicians--he can talk a good game but when it comes to results, he's a dud.
