Who's Poisoning the Well Now?

I'm old enough to remember when Speaker Boehner accused President Obama of poisoning the well with his executive actions on immigration. But take a look at what the House has done in the week and a half since the new Republican Congress took over:
  1. Over-ridden the State Department process for approval of the Keystone Pipeline
  2. Diluted the employer mandate in Obamacare
  3. Delayed implementation of the Volker Rule in the Dodd/Frank Wall Street Reform
  4. Approved an amendment to block President Obama's actions on immigration reform
All of these are actions President Obama has already promised to veto. So who's poisoning the well now?

When Republicans do this we call it obstruction. But when Sen. Bernie Sanders does it, progressives celebrate it as effective party positioning.

Meanwhile, most Americans see it all as just more gamesmanship in Washington and wonder, "what have you done for me lately."

Spot on Nancy! Thank you for reading my mind. Congress on both sides is a joke. President Obama has always been about "people over party" & "policy over politics". A true Centrist getting things done for the sake of country, not popularity or political future. Yet the media portrays him as the villain. Disgusting.
