  3. Highway 61 revisited: I'm in Thunder Bay. I like this area. And there is a summer wooden bat college baseball league. As far as politics, my barber here today told me that he can't understand the U.S. denial of health care to every one and the crazy gun policy.

  5. Glad you're back!

Hey, I've been thinking about something and maybe you can help. As you may or may not know, Bernie Sanders is still pushing single payer, which in and of itself is not a bad thing, if politically unlikely. But it occurs to me that, while single payer could hypothetically offer savings of maybe 15% or 20% over what private insurance is charging (thanks Obamacare!), medical costs are sky-high, and so that 15% or 20% is not where we should be focused. I think it's time to move from the battle of health coverage mechanisms to the battle of health care costs.

... and that's where I get stuck. Surely there are good proposals for bringing health care costs down, or at least I hope there are. Any ideas where a person might look?

  6. I love your political analyses always, but this is balm for the soul. Thank you for sharing views of one of my favorite areas. I love Duluth and the north shore, the awesomeness of that amazing body of water, and the calm of the woods around it. It was a visual breath of fresh air. Glad you had it, thank you for letting us have a peek! Welcome back!
