Wow! Last night I watched the documentary Training Rules.
I highly recommend it (its available for streaming on Netflix).
The thing that struck me so powerfully is that when it comes to the battle for LGBT equal rights, the face of the movement has almost completely been a male one. As we watched the battle over repealing DADT, certainly there were some lesbian women involved in that historic struggle. But I have to wonder where the community was when these young women were facing the same kind of thing at the hands of Penn State women's basketball coach Rene Portland - for decades.
