Suggested Pragmatic Progressive Reading

If you have some time on this Labor Day holiday, here are some things I'd suggest reading (if you haven't already done so).

First of all is the article I linked to below by Mike Lofgren titled Goodbye to All That: Reflections of a GOP Operative Who Left the Cult.

Virtual Daze does an excellent job of taking on the myth that pragmatic progressives are simply objecting to ANY criticism of the President.

BooMan provides some history to remind us that no, George W. Bush didn't get everything he wanted through Congress.

Milt Shook reviews some history as well. He demonstrates that Obama is just as progressive as the non-mythical FDR.

Confused about President Obama's revocation of the new rule on smog emissions? Osborne Ink will put it in some perspective.

Finally, looking for some material to promote the benefits of good government? The website what IS working is the best place on the nets for grabbing some of that light. I suggest you visit there at least daily.

And via what IS working, here's a great celebration of Labor Day.
