When it comes to fatherhood, it sometimes comes down to very difficult choices. In this clip from The Wire, Colvin steps up on Namond's (Nay's) behalf. That's pretty righteous. And yet I can't help but think that the real test of fatherhood here is the one faced by Wee-Bay. Powerful stuff!!!

I regret that the clip doesn't go on a bit more to see Wee-Bey's response. I adore Wee-Bey. Far and away my favorite from that group of characters. Hassan Johnson absolutely knocked it out of the park.

If I remember right, that scene ends there. We find out later than Wee-Bey agreed to Colvin's offer.

DeleteI criticize movies when they have a happy ending I feel is unwarranted, but then I love it when there's a happy ending, even when it's unwarranted. I am glad about Bubbles, too. He was my favorite character.
Somebody had to go in and help that boy. Namond's mom was crazy.
